Abstract

PURPOSE:To use few magnetic core material and bobbin winding, and miniaturize a case by a method wherein a pair of U-shaped magnetic cores are formed in butting shapes so that both ends of the leg parts cross at right angles mutually in the noise filter having a two stage filter function. CONSTITUTION:The U-shaped magnetic cores 5, 5' are combined to ensure that the end surfaces of leg parts cross at right angles mutually and opening ends are mutually bridged. Each leg part of the magnetic core 5 is formed respectively so that winding 6, 7 is the same number of winding and winding polarity is inverted. Winding 6', 7' is each made up similarly to each leg portion of the magnetic core 5', and further the winding 6 and 6' and the winding 7 and 7' are connected in series respectively. Here, magnetic flux generated at the magnetic core 5 by means of the winding 6, 7 and the magnetic flux generated at the magnetic core 5' by means of the winding 6', 7' each cross at right angles in the magnetic cores as shown in broken lines. Consequently, mutually independent choke coils are formed in the magnetic cores 5, 5', and the filter by constitution at two stages is realized by means of one composite choke coil. Thus, the case is miniaturized because the magnetic core material is decreased and the bobbin windings can be used.
