Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for preparing a glass-fiber filter coated with nanosized photocatalytic film. The method of the invention comprises of: (a) providing a glass-fiber substrate being capable of resisting high temperature; (b) forming a nanosized photocatalytic film on the surface of the glass-fiber substrate using chemical vapor deposition; (c) heating the glass-fiber substrate coated with nanosized photocatalytic film to reinforce the combination between the nanosized photocatalytic film and the glass-fiber substrate. Whereby, the nanosized photocatalytic film does not separated from the surface of the glass-fiber substrate. Moreover, the method of the invention needs fewer photocatalyst so that the production cost could be lower. In addition, the glass-fiber substrate coated with nanosized photocatalytic film can significantly improve its capability of contaminant decomposition.
