Abstract

Disclosed is a power controller for supplying a load (120) from first and second power supplies. The power controller comprises a first storage means (315) arranged to store power from the first power supply and switching means (325,335) arranged to switch between a second storage means (330) and the first storage means (315) or the second power supply depending on a parameter of the first (315) and second (330) storage means. The system further comprises a power supply means arranged to supply power to the load (120) from the second storage means (330).
