Description
Embodiments disclosed in this document relate to a device for protecting a DC motor from overvoltage and overcurrent.
A direct current (DC) motor is a motor that uses direct current as a power source, and has advantages of low power consumption, low noise, and detailed speed control compared to alternating current (AC) motors that use alternating current as a power source. Since DC motors use direct current as a power source, failures may occur due to erroneous wiring, there is a high possibility of failures due to instantaneous overvoltage, and failures may occur due to external factors such as lightning. Therefore, when using a DC motor, there is a need to use a protection circuit to prevent the DC motor from failing.
