Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an overcurrent by detecting a load current and controlling the clock of high voltage pump means. CONSTITUTION:The input terminal 11 of high voltage pump means 1 is connected to a high voltage source 4, a high voltage output terminal 12 is connected to one of detection terminals of current detecting means 2. The other one of the current detection terminals is connected to a load, and the input terminal of clock control means 3 is connected to the detection output terminal. A clock generator is connected to the means 3, and the clock input terminal of the means 1 is connected to the output terminal. Thus, the state that a load current abnormally increases is detected by the means 2, so controlled by the means 3 that a clock waveform becomes zero to be input to the means 1, thereby operating to reduce the transfer efficiency of the high voltage. As a result, it can prevent the output voltage of the source 4 from decreasing in case of an abnormal load impedance.
