Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to vary the output with a comparatively simple constitution, by inserting a rectifier to the primary side of the transformer and by connecting a control switch in parallel to this rectifier, in the DC power supply unit which can vary the output in respect to DC.
CONSTITUTION: A rectifier, for example, input control diode D2 is inserted to the primary side of ferro-resonance transformer T, and switch SW1 is connected in parallel to diode D2. If switch SW1 is closed at the normal time, the normal input voltage is applied to transformer T, and the voltage of a waveform determined by the winding ratio of the primary and the secondary windings is induced in the secondary side. Consequently, the DC output voltage obtained by rectifying this voltage by high-voltage rectifying diode D1 is proportional to the amplitude. Here, when switch SW1 is opened, a half-wave input is applied to transformer T through diode D2 to excite it in DC. As a result, transformer T generates single magnetic deflection, and a DC output increased or reduced in steps is obtained in the secondary side.
