Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the leak and explosion of the battery and thus avoid the useless power consumption of the battery for the print-type computer which is driven by both the AC and DC power sources, by providing a switch which is turned off and on when the battery is stored in the stroring case and out of the case respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The switch 12 is turned off and on when the primary battery 3 is stored in the primary battery storing case 11 and out of the case 11 respectively. Through this switch 12, the external power source is supplied to the load part having a comparatively small amount of power consumption, e.g., the power supply regulator 4 and the like. Then the dummy resistance 13 is connected in parallel to the load part to set the value of the current flowing to the switch 12 to the level higher than the prescribed value when the switch 12 is on. As a result, the leak and explosion of the primary battery can be prevented for the print-type computer which has a big fluctuation of voltage, thus avoiding the useless power consumption of the battery.
