Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the winding configuration of a transformer by forming the windings at the power and the load sides of the transformer in a similar shape and providing a DC intermediate circuit between terminals displaced in a predetermined phase angle and provided at both windings. CONSTITUTION:The phase angles of the 3-phase star type voltage vectors of N sets of 3-phase terminals provided at both the windings 1' and 4 of the primary and the secondary sides of the transformer are displaced by 2pi/6N or 2pi/3N in a similar shape, 3-phase bridged rectifying circuits are provided in N sets in the primary side and DC intermediate circuits formed of 3-phase bridged rectifying circuits of current controlled inverters are provided in N sets in the secondary side between the 3-phase terminals. Thus, it can simplify the winding configuration of the transformer and readily control to equilibrate the DC currents of the DC intermediate circuits in N set.
