Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate high frequency components in noise by storing wires constituting a cable in a plug while passing them through the through hole of a magnetic core with absorbs noise of higher than a specified frequency. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 11 stored in a plug 2 is made by a ring-shaped magnetic substance such as a Mn-Zn ferrite having attenuation characteristic for high frequencies higher than 100MHz. A through hole 12 for inserting wires 6 is provided at the center portion of the core 11. The core 11 is flat with its height smaller than its outside diameter and is stored in the flat plug 2 in such a manner that its end face 13 is parallel to the extension line of a cable 1. Wires 6 coming out of the end of the cable 1 passes through the through hole 12 from one side of the core 11 and are connected to a contact 3 from the opposite side. While the cable is in use, high-frequency noise higher than 100MHz and high frequency components in impulse noise passing through the wires 6 are absorbed and eliminated by the high-frequency loss of the core 11.

In the conventional cable for electronic / electrical equipment constructed as described above, the magnetic core 4 has an attenuation characteristic for high frequency noise of 100 MHz or more as shown in FIG. Passing through 10
The high frequency noise of 0 MHz or higher and the high frequency portion of the impulse noise are absorbed and removed by the high frequency loss of the magnetic core 4. The impulse noise has a sharp rising waveform as shown in FIG. 6A when the magnetic core 4 is not attached, but is shown in FIG. 6B when the magnetic core 4 is attached. Thus, the high-frequency part is removed, resulting in a gentle rising waveform.

In the electronic / electrical device cable of FIG. 7, the magnetic core 4 is the cable 1.
Since it is attached to the cable, the distance from the noise generation source is increased, so the noise absorption effect is small, and before the noise reaches the magnetic core 4, radiation noise is generated from the cable 1 and the handleability is improved. There was a problem that was bad.

Example 2 FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a magnetic core and a cable of Example 2. In this embodiment, the electric wire 6 forming the cable 1 is wound around the magnetic core 11 a plurality of times, and is housed in the plug 2 in this state. As a result, an absorption effect proportional to the square of the number of turns can be obtained. The noise removal of the present invention does not depend on the inductance like a common mode choke, but the resistance increases as the number of turns increases, so the number of turns is preferably 3 or less.

Third Embodiment FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a magnetic core of a third embodiment. In this embodiment, the magnetic core 11 includes a portion of one end face 13 on the cable 1 side and a contact 3 of the opposite end face 13.
The electric wire accommodating portion 14 has a concave electric wire accommodating portion 14 on the side.
It is housed in the plug 2 with the electric wire 6 housed therein. Therefore, the electric wire 6 can be easily laid, and the electric wire 6 can be prevented from being damaged. When the wire housing portion 14 is formed in a concave shape as in the third embodiment, the moldability is improved and the plug can be made compact.
