Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a covered conductor from being curved and a core from sticking into a waterproof rubber stopper and easily and surely insert the waterproof rubber stopper by passing a guide pin made to abut on the end of a feed pipe through the waterproof rubber stopper while pushing out the same, and then pulling the feed pipe out of the waterproof rubber stopper. CONSTITUTION:With a guide pin 3 being inserted into a waterproof rubber stopper 2 from the direction of the through hole 2c of the stopper 2, clampers 4A, 4B are each fitted over the outer periphery of the waterproof rubber stopper 2 to shape the stopper 2. Under these conditions the guide pin 3 is inserted into the through hole 2c of the waterproof rubber stopper 2 from the rear end side of the stopper. A covered conductor 1 from which a core la is exposed is passed through a feed pipe 5. Next the end portion of the feed pipe 5 is inserted into the through hole 2c of the waterproof rubber stopper 2 and brought close to the taper portion 3a of the guide pin 3. Then the clampers 4A, 4B are each sent out and the waterproof rubber stopper 2 sandwiched between the clampers 4A, 4B is sent out and fitted around the outer periphery of the insertion tube portion 5a of the pipe 5 and then the guide pin 3 made to abut on the end of the insertion tube portion 5a is pushed out of the waterproof rubber stopper 2. Then the feed pipe 5 is pulled out in the direction indicated by the arrow whereby the waterproof rubber stopper 2 is inserted into the terminal of an insulating cover 1b.

The other waterproof connection terminal described above is fitted with a trumpet-shaped flexible tube member 14 that is press-fitted into the waterproof rubber stopper on the proximal end side and covers the female connection terminal. When the connecting terminal 13 and the female connecting terminal are fitted and connected, the tip side of the flexible tube 14 is press-fitted into the waterproof rubber stopper 12, and the flexible tube 14 connects to the internal connection part. It seals to prevent water droplets from entering.

The problem is solved by the method shown in Figure 6 (A).
There is no problem when the core wires 11a are tightly bundled as shown in FIG. 6(B), but when the core wires 11a are unraveled in a manner that spreads out toward the end as shown in FIG. 6(B), the following problem occurs.

That is, depending on the degree of unraveling of the core wire 11a, the core wire 11a
The tip of the guide hole 1, which should originally be slidingly guided, has an acute angle at which it comes into contact with the tapered guide hole 17a.
7a, on the other hand, causes the core wire 11a to unravel further into a shape that widens toward the end.
