Description
The invention relates to a labyrinth drainage for a labyrinth drain bridge, which can be used for various forms of wound treatment, but in particular for the vacuum wound treatment of diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers, bedsores on the back.
It is a common task in medicine to suck out wound fluids. In particular, in the case of deep, large and, in particular, infected surface wounds, the hitherto customary practice is to place a wound dressing which does not adhere to the tissue into the wound. On this wound dressing, the physician brings a first layer of gauze, in which then by hand, a drainage tube, partially wound several times, is inserted and this covered again with a second layer of gauze and then the entire wound site is covered with a plaster. The end of the drainage tube is then subjected to a negative pressure, whereby the wound fluid can be sucked off. In addition to the long time required to lay the above-described means time, this approach also requires considerable skill of the wound care practitioner, because during wound care all separately inserted device components are to be fixed, which often can not be accomplished by one person alone.

The present invention has for its object to provide a drainage agent, which without much manual skill by the user accurately to the relevant wound, especially pressure ulcer wounds on the foot and back, which u. a. are intended for vacuum wound treatment, is customizable, does not cause patient disability regarding shoe and supine by pressure nuisance. The use of a flexible, elastic labyrinth-drain bridge with a foam pad, the discharge of secretion from a foot wound when the shoe is tightened without pressure is possible. When using the flexible, elastic, wide labyrinth-drain bridge, the discharge of secretions from a decubitus on the back or heel is possible without compressing the patient. The wide, long and flexible labyrinth drainage with internal foam padding allows the suction tube to be placed at a required distance from the wound to relieve pressure on the patient. The application of an adhesive film in the perforation region of the labyrinth drain bridge or an adhesive port facilitates the assembly with the wound film.
The object of the invention is solved by the characterizing features of
The essence of the invention is that a very flexible, long labyrinth material is formed as a textile or film material with labyrinth-like paths through connections and when laying two layers on each other a plane is provided, which spaces the first and second layer even under the influence of negative pressure, that between, on the film cohesively applied funds, labyrinthine paths are formed and the one layer is provided at least with perforations.
In a preferred embodiment, the first and second layers, as well as the spacing plane including the spacing means, are formed at least on a layer having a secretion drainage opening. In another embodiment of the invention, which is particularly preferred for practical use, the labyrinth material of the side facing the skin is covered with a soft, elastic, moisture-absorbing foam.
The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to several different embodiments.
